Today is the day to go HEAVY on Back Squats. We want to see the volume high across all sets. Meaning, you start heavy and finish heavy, rather than building up to a heavy load for the set of 5’s, 3’s or 1’s. Ideally, you will increase the load slightly for the different reps. For the set of 10, you will need to guesstimate what load you think you can lift. It will be roughly around 70-80% of what you are lifting for your sets of 5.
Fitness: Focus on mechanics and get a load close to your 3 rep max. Don’t worry too much about volume— just mechanics, consistency and time under tension.
We will keep the warmup relatively short so you can spend as much time as possible on warming up your Squats and performing your sets, even though some of you will be sore from Murph yesterday!!
