Great Job to the athletes that polished off 16.1 today. Over 45 CFS registered OPEN athletes braved the 20 minute grinder throughout the day. Yesterday evening we had over 50 people gather to workout, cheer for each other and celebrate the OPEN season. Coach Slater has organized these fun Friday Night Lights events for us to be able to gather, party and spread the excitement of the OPEN. Over 250,000 people worldwide performed the same workout, and we are so proud to be part of the bigger picture. It’s not just about our small town affiliate, it’s about being part of the CrossFit Community outside of our box! There’s still time to register to be part of the action. Log in to the CrossFit Games website, complete the workout with a certified judge and submit your score online, anytime before Monday at 5pm!!

Barbell Complexes are always a great test of mental and physical resolve. Most of the time you don’t want to do another rep and you just want to put the bar down, but you know that you CAN do another rep, it will just hurt a little more! Make the goal to try push past this mental barrier and DO that extra rep when you want to put it down (but only with good form). Somewhere around 8-10 rounds is a good goal for most people to achieve.
